Friday, November 6
Festival Gates Open
Welcome to the 2026 Monterey Bay Día de los Muertos Festival. Artisan marketplace and food vendors open.
Community Ofrenda Opening Blessing
FEATUREDA sacred blessing ceremony opens the community altar. Families are invited to place photographs and offerings.
Danza Azteca — Opening Ceremony
FEATUREDTraditional Aztec ceremonial dance honoring the four directions and welcoming the spirits of ancestors.
Marigold Arrangement Workshop
Learn to create traditional cempasúchil arrangements for home altars. Materials provided.
Live Music: Son Jarocho
Traditional Veracruz folk music featuring the jarana, requinto, and harp.
Candlelight Procession
FEATUREDA candlelit walk through the festival grounds honoring those who have passed. All are welcome to join.
Festival Closes — Day 1
Gates close. Ofrenda remains lit through the night.
